Week 2: Tomorrow When the War Began

Week 2: Getting into the plot

After the fairly slow start to the novel, we start to see our characters head into "hell". When they setup camp and settle down, we start to find out a bit more about each of the characters. We find out that Homer is always trying to impress the others by showing of how "tough" he is and how cool he can be, Fi however, is a bit of a drama queen and despises being anything but perfect. More character development is yet to happen and Im sure we will find out a lot more about the mysterious character Lee. Later on around about the middle of the book, they find out that Australia has been attacked and all their loved ones are being stored in camps guarded by the terrorists. More is yet to happen but I'm sure the end to the book will be a very interesting. All up, a slow start to the book, but starting to get quite exciting.

    1. I find Homer the most interesting character so far because of how he is expressing his emotions, but I also think Lee is quite mysterious and interesting

    1. I do not think they are changing YET. Because the plot has only just started but I believe they will change later on in the book.

  3. I disagree, I think Homer is showing great leadership unlike he was at the start of the book

    1. I can understand your opinion, but the only reason he didn't show leadership at the start was because there wasn't any opportunities to show leadership.

  4. But he certainly has matured somewhat throughout the text. Surely you don't think he is the same now as he was in Ellie's description at the start of the novel?

    1. The description of him at the start of the novel is that he is a cool guy, leader of his little gang. It just shows that he has always liked being a leader.

  5. Do you think Ellie misjudged him at the start of the novel perhaps?

    1. I don't think Ellie is misjudged at the start because she was the one that organised the camping trip, and she still is liked by all the others.

    1. After going thorough the chapters again, Ellie has thought that homer has changed a bit. After reading more of the book, I've started to agree with Ellie and the pain, James P. ;D
